Who can apply for support

Each year the organising committee selects beneficiaries from among registered Irish charities. Charities involved with improving the lives of children, women and the elderly are encouraged to reply. Ideally, we would like to support projects which make a lasting contribution to improving the lives of the disadvantaged and those who are ill.

How to apply

Information is posted on The Wheel each year, usually in June. Once applications are received and reviewed by the ICBD Charity Sub-Committee. The Sub-Committee then creates a shortlist  of potential beneficiaries according to established selection criteria.

Members of the Organising Committee then visit the potential beneficiaries to learn more about their project in detail. Exact amounts of donations will only determined after the Bazaar and depends of course on the funds raised.

Beneficiaries are invited to have a stand at the Bazaar so that they can publicise their project.

The handover of funds takes place in December.
