ABOUT US

The International Charity Bazaar Dublin was formally established as a registered Irish charity in 2008. The idea behind ICB originated with a fund-raising event held by the wife of the then Ambassador of Pakistan Nausheen Ahmad to raise funds for the victims of the Pakistan earthquake in 2005.

The Bazaar has gone from strength to strength and in its 16 year history has raised over €600,00 for Irish charities. In 2011 ICB was awarded charitable status and registered as a charity in Ireland. Donations to ICB are therefore tax deductible.

The event was so successful that the spouses of the diplomats resident in Dublin decided to make the event an annual bazaar. Together with a group of Irish Friends, the embassy spouses went on to hold successful bazaars in 2006 and 2007. It was decided that all funds raised would be donated henceforth to Irish-based charities.

Gifts, donations and sponsorship from both the international diplomatic community and the Irish community all contribute hugely to the success and popularity of our fundraising events and have helped make the International Charity Bazaar a favourite date in the Dublin social calendar.
